AhR: An Emerging Therapeutic Target
The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) is a ligand-activated transcription factor with important roles in immune regulation, barrier tissue homeostasis, and inflammatory signaling. Although less extensively explored than many established drug targets, a growing body of preclinical and clinical evidence supports the therapeutic rationale for modulating AhR. Continued investigation of AhR biology may enable differentiated therapeutic approaches across multiple immune-mediated inflammatory diseases.
